The latest slice of art pop from Rose Gray is the fantastic ‘Angel Of Satisfaction’. It’s an exuberant blend of pop and house, with a camp gothic undertone. Her vocal melodies are effortlessly memorable, yet the track is propelled by its dance floor-ready low-end and huge synth breaks. Despite being upbeat, its minor key and subtle sense of tension adds a haunting element that juxtaposes the hedonism. The track “plays on the idea of temptation, being blessed, and is loosely based on a dream where an angel visited me with a warning about fame and fortune.” Rose Gray is currently putting the finishing touches on her debut album.
